PART 1: Runways to Racks– 2021 Bridal Trends

From Runways to Racks- 2021 Popular Bridal Trends!

Even though New York’s Bridal Week looked a little different this spring, we’ve been dying to share the inside scoop of this fall’s bridal trends! Stick around as we drop all trending bridal themes in this year’s three-part series on what’s coming up in the fall. After a couple of unpredictable wedding seasons, the fall season has been looking a little more bright – to say the least. We are here to highlight the latest trends after a year full of uncertainty, and we can’t wait to keep our brides in style!

We will begin the first part of our series focusing on all the details.

STATEMENTS

The pandemic certainly brought out minimalistic trends, but this season makes up for it by delivering us a variety of over-the-top details like oversized bows and the return of corset tops. Oversized bows and corset tops have become increasingly popular to dramatize the curves of the feminine body and show off that cinched waist. Now, let’s look at some of these dramatic statements seen on the runway!

Let’s look at our lovely collection of wedding dresses that include detachable bows! First on our list is the Lis Simon “Molly” dress made of stretch crepe.

And for the bride looking for an oversized bow incorporated into the mid-back? Check out both the new Mikaella collection!

Don’t think we forgot about brides who prefer the long, vertical bow with a train! WTOO has the perfect wedding gown for you.

We haven’t forgotten about corsets! Here are some of the new season’s most desirable corset styles from designers Lillian West and L’amour.

Ruffled Beauty

Alongside the rise of dramatic statements, another major detail brides have been digging are those big, exaggerated ruffles! With the return of larger weddings, brides have put simplicity to the side to replace them for grand gowns full of creativity and beauty. Ruffle details can be added to any part of your wedding dress – whether integrated in the top or used to give volume to the skirt, ruffles have been a go-to for our 2021 brides. For the upcoming season, WED Bridal’s rack has many options for brides seeking ruffles – both in the sleeves and the tier of the skirt! Our first two picks are the Lillian West “Cape Ruffle Sleeve” and the “Cosette Ruffle Sleeve” by Willlowby.

Our next pick for a ruffled tier skirt is the “Kiki” Skirt by WTOO that can be ordered for brides that are looking for layers of tulle to make a ballgown statement that can be paired with any top of choice for a custom dress.

We saved the best for last, so the question is… are you ready for another beauty? Here we have our most popular ruffled wedding dress, Tatum! She is a one-of-a-kind, classic ballgown with layers and layers of tulle ruffles, perfect for brides looking for glamour.
