Real WED Bride: Faith Simpson

Another week, another Real WED Bride feature: everyone meet Faith Simpson! Faith got married last November and we’re swooning over all her photos from her picture-perfect day! Faith’s style was timeless, romantic, with a dash of spunk.  She looked absolutely amazing in her very own Lis Simon off the shoulder, clean lined, modern fit and flare gown.

When we saw her pictures, we needed more insight from this beautiful day! Read on to hear more about the newest Mr. and Mrs. Rodgers!

When wedding dress shopping, how did you end up choosing your dream dress? Did you have a set idea coming in to the shop, or were you pretty open?

I knew what I wanted in my head but I was a little scared to get my hopes up that I would find it so I ended up being pretty open. That was until I got to wed and laid eyes on my dream dress immediately. I tried on a few others that I was surprised how much I loved but my mind was still stuck on the one I chose. I wanted something simple yet elegant. Wed had so many options that I could’ve chosen.

How did you come up with your color scheme? It’s so moody!

I wanted something that included a lot of neutral colors and knew I wanted the statement color to be a rust, dark salmon look. I’m not super girly and my husband didn’t really have an opinion so I got to pick exactly what I wanted which was white, off white, tan and rust. It was perfect and fit us as a couple so well.

What was your favorite aspect of the planning process?

My favorite part of the planning process was finally being able to envision it all coming together. My wedding planner made a mood board with all the different details of our day and that made all of the thinking, planning and pinteresting worth it.

We have to know, what are the sneakers all about? We love them!

My husband has always been obsessed with Jordan’s. Someone brought him a pair of baby Jordan’s that he wore home from the hospital!  We knew we wanted to incorporate them someway in our wedding. We wore our regular wedding shoes during the ceremony and photos and then changed into our sneakers for the reception. It was very “us”.

Were there any moments of your day that stick out when you think back to it?

Our last dance together when everyone left for our grand exit. I think that is a great idea for a bride and groom to do because you get a few minutes alone together in your reception space after such a crazy day.
