Real WED Bride: Victoria Runge

We have been starstruck over our real WED Bride Victoria’s stunning March wedding in Fort Worth!  Victoria chose an elegant form-fitting gown at the shop from designer Eddy K.  We love this dress on her because of how beautifully it shows off her graceful figure.

Here is a little bit about Victoria and her new husband, Blair!

How did you and your husband meet and how’d he propose?

Blair and I both went to TCU, but did not know each other. We met through a TCU alumni kickball team, and are the third couple to get married from that same team.

He proposed on the 3 year anniversary of our first date while celebrating at Del Frisco’s downtown. He had dropped off a purse with my ring in it earlier in the day and they brought it out right before dessert! He had also had a photographer waiting for us outside the restaurant to take our photos around downtown.

Was there anything that changed from you and your fiancé’s original vision to what actually came to be on your wedding day?

I never thought I wanted to do a first look. After researching and talking to other married friends, they told us it was their favorite and was one of the only times they got to be by themselves the whole day. We ended up doing it and are so glad we did. It was such a sweet moment and we got great photos from it.

What is the most memorable moment you had during your wedding day?

We had the best band from In10City. They were awesome and they got my whole family up on stage. I was shocked when I saw my dad get up there! It was such a great moment with my family having so much fun.

Did you have any “bloopers” or funny moments on the day of that you’ll always remember?

We got married on March 14, the weekend before everything shut down due to COVID-19. We weren’t quite sure if our wedding would happen and we had about 30-40  people cancel the day before and the day of. There were lots of changes due to COVID such as seating, how the food was served, and how much food was ordered in general. Our venue and wedding coordinators were awesome and were willing to do everything they could to make our event go perfectly. They kept me calm in a time of complete chaos.

Last but not least, what is your favorite local Funky Town (AKA Fort Worth) date night spot? Either for happy hour, dinner or entertainment.

We live right off of Magnolia and so we love walking down there or to South Main. One of our favorite types of date night is a progressive dinner where we go to several different spots in one night! Our favorites are the Usual, Kent and Co, Melt, Spice, and Lili’s Bistro (where we went on our first date)!

We love sharing our real bride stories, every wedding is so beautifully unique!

It was such an honor to help you find your dream dress, Victoria  and we are so grateful to be apart of your story. Congrats from your team at WED!!
